Bank BRI brings in ExtraHop to reveal threats

PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) has deployed ExtraHop Reveal(x) NDR to secure critical banking operations and data for its growing customer base.

BRI has more than 120 million deposit customers and more than 13 million borrowers, from individuals to large institutions. Protecting not only customers’ finances but also their personal data is a top priority for the bank’s IT team.

“We selected ExtraHop Reveal(x) because we believe it will further our goal to deliver a secure environment built on industry standards and leading-edge technology that will both reinforce public trust and support our business goals,” said Muharto, Information Security SVP at BRI.

“Its feature-rich functionality, simple user interface, and its vast detection and monitoring capabilities give our team an edge against even the most advanced threats,” said Muharto.

Using AI and behavioral analytics, as well as line-rate decryption of the most commonly exploited protocols, ExtraHop Reveal(x) provides complete east-west visibility, real-time threat detection inside the perimeter, and intelligent response at scale. This is to help organisations stay ahead of a new class of advanced threats like supply chain attacks, zero days, and APTs.

ExtraHop’s ability to identify unwanted services or activity will enable the BRI IT team to detect security threats and make it easier to prioritize what requires immediate action. In addition, dashboard access management and customization will facilitate the IT security team’s ability to deliver up-to-date reports to senior executive management.
