DP Architects redraw HPC with Dell Technologies

One Punggol is just one of the designs that earned recognition for DP Architects

DP Architects, a global multidisciplinary design practice, is working with Dell Technologies to strengthen its technology infrastructure, including a refresh of its high-performance compute cluster for building physics and environmental simulations.

This is intended to increase computing speed and capacity, as well as improve operational efficiencies.

DP Architects is responsible for projects such as Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, Singapore Sports Hub, The Dubai Mall, Lusail Commercial Boulevard in Doha, and Guangzhou Knowledge City re-masterplan in China.

The company used Dell Technologies’ industry expertise to identify key areas to improve operational efficiencies across the business and better support its workforce with purposeful investments in the right technology.

DP Architects updated its high-performance computing (HPC) environment with a variety of Dell Technologies infrastructure solutions.

Architects at the company now have the compute power and capacity to support seamless, real-time collaboration around the globe in real-time and advanced design software and tools. They are also able to achieve higher productivity through increased speed of simulations of their architectural designs.

“Investing in the right technology is key to advancing DP Architects’ Green-Well-Tech effort to design solutions that are grounded in sustainability and wellbeing, enabled by innovation and impactful technology,” said Derek Herbert, head of operations and CIO at DP Architects.

“Building our technology capacity with partners such as Dell Technologies allows us to improve operational efficiency, multidisciplinary and global collaboration, and supports our outcome-driven approach,” said Herbert.
