Malaysia-based Technofit chose Epicor’s global enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution to integrate their business processes across the organisation and to increase efficiency and accelerate business growth.

From providing boiler services and maintenance to numerous power plants in Malaysia, Technofit has now expanded its business scope and activities to companies in engineering, procurement, and construction installation. The company is also engaged in commissioning for mechanical and electrical services, together with industry-compliant maintenance activities for various clients.

Before using Epicor, most of Technofit’s data was managed in silos and manually processed using spreadsheets. To have better visibility and control over budget and finance processes, Technofit needed a solution that can consolidate company data and integrate business processes.

“With the high volume of projects and ad-hoc customer requests, our processes were further strained and the risk for human error increased,” said Mohd Kamal bin Zawawi, SNR quality and HSE manager at Technofit. “Without a reliable ERP system in place, we had limited visibility on the overall health of the company’s finances which proved to be costly to the organisation in the long run.”

Technofit affirms the need for data integration as a crucial element for efficiency and growth. Epicor ERP helps to integrate business data and processes across various business elements such as sales, purchase, inventory, warehouse, production, and finance. With a cloud solution, data can be accessed and used across multiple locations.

In addition, a cloud solution also enables customers to be updated with the latest versions of the solution when it is released – as opposed to being on-premise which involves running further upgrades.

Technofit aims to prepare the business for expansion while ensuring that day to day operations is managed efficiently, without having to invest in a large scale in-house IT team. The company is also considering Epicor’s DocStar solution to further elevate its day-to-day business operations in a seamless manner.

“Combined with our growth and focused development in cloud, and Epicor ERP’s features I have every confidence that we will be able to  meet our clients’ specific business needs,” said Vincent Tang, regional VP for Asia at Epicor Software.

“With access to real-time data, improved visibility and ability to collaborate across business units within the organisation, Technofit is empowered to make better business decisions, improve efficiency and gain a competitive edge in the market,” said Tang.
