RE&S Enterprises has modernised its core business systems by migrating key applications — including enterprise resource planning (ERP), finance and production planning — onto the Nutanix Cloud Platform (NCP) solution.
The Singapore-based Japanese food and beverage group is also deepening its use of data to guide decision‑making, with plans for advanced analytics and future AI‑driven capabilities to enhance internal processes and customer experiences.
Adrian Tan, senior manager of IT at RE&S Enterprises, said they needed a stable, long-term platform with a clear roadmap and the flexibility to grow without being tied to specific hardware.
“Before the migration, when a physical server went down, it took an entire application with it,” said Tan. “Our ERP, production scheduling, ordering systems and even basic file access would be impacted. The operational risk was simply too high, especially for a business that runs seven days a week.”
He said Nutanix gave them the ability to modernise, scale for future growth, and maintain high application performance without the disruption issues we had been experiencing.
“The stability that Nutanix delivers will be essential as we introduce more data analytics and prepare for AI. With a stable foundation in place, we can evolve how we run the business,” he added.
With the Nutanix Cloud Platform, RE&S reports that it significantly reduced its physical server environment by moving to a streamlined setup that now supports all of its virtual workloads, achieving a 73% reduction in hardware footprint.
According to RE&S, the mission critical platform, trusted to run ERP workloads, has simplified management, strengthened system uptime and performance, while lowering costs and keeping business-critical systems highly available for daily operations.
“Our users can retrieve data faster and work without interruption, and the IT team no longer faces the stress of recovering failed servers. Nutanix has given us the confidence that the environment will stay up even during maintenance or hardware issues,” said Tan.
RE&S highlighted that the consolidation also delivered clear cost efficiencies, helping the company avoid additional cooling expenses.
“With Nutanix, RE&S Enterprises has built a future-ready foundation that not only strengthens uptime but also accelerates innovation,” said Ho Chye Soon, Singapore country manager at Nutanix.
