MyRepublic, SNACK offer insurance coverage aligned with lifestyle

MyRepublic has teamed up with SNACK by NTUC Income, Singapore’s bite-sized, stackable insurance that embeds the purchase of micro-insurance into consumers’ lifestyles.

Through this collaboration, MyRepublic subscribers will be able to enjoy a higher sum of insurance coverage for Personal Accident plans on their first insurance policy purchase via the SNACK mobile app.

MyRepublic subscribers will receive a complimentary one-time S$1,500 insurance coverage on their Personal Accident insurance plan. They can also continue to build up their coverage as they go about daily activities, from taking public transport, to clocking steps during runs or walks and ordering meals.

To enjoy the upsized coverage, MyRepublic customers simply have to key in a promo code on the SNACK app, which is valid until December 31.

With the increased reliance on digital technology for work and leisure, consumers’ lifestyle and digital consumption habits are rapidly evolving – more time is now spent online working remotely, gaming and streaming the latest series on Netflix.

The collaboration between MyRepublic and SNACK taps into these lifestyle routines, to allow consumers to build up personal insurance coverage while having the flexibility and freedom to manage their protection portfolio – all at the tips of their fingers.

“With consumers’ lifestyle habits changing and evolving, we are excited to be collaborating with SNACK to offer our subscribers simple, seamless access to insurance, which is often a complex subject for many,” said Lawrence Chan, managing director of MyRepublic Singapore. “Together with SNACK, we want to let consumers’ lifestyles keep them covered.”

Max Tiong, head of transformation at Income, said they are constantly looking out for opportunities to extend insurance access to more people in Singapore.
