Krungsri lifts customer experience with Informatica

Krungsri, also known as Bank of Ayudhya, is working with Informatica to help the bank in its digital transformation as it strives to become a leading AI-driven digital bank.

As one of Thailand’s largest financial institutions by assets, loans and deposits, Krungsri recognizes the critical need for a unified approach to managing and governing its data assets, which is traditionally isolated across its business units.

With a customer base spanning Thailand and over 19 million throughout ASEAN, Krungsri needs a robust data governance framework to help ensure data quality, security, privacy and compliance with regulatory standards as part of its digital transformation and growth strategy.

By implementing Informatica solutions, Krungsri is laying a robust data foundation since it moved to a hybrid cloud environment with Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Krungsi is addressing critical challenges such as data discovery, metadata management and data quality improvement. This enables the bank to strengthen data integrity and build greater trustworthiness throughout its operations.

“Recognizing the pivotal role of data in the banking sector, Krungsri strategically adopts these advanced data governance solutions to enhance data quality, accessibility and integrity,” said Tul Roteseree, head of Enterprise Data and Analytics Group at Krungsri.

He said that with a scalable and robust governance framework underpinning our cloud-enabled, secure technology infrastructure, they are not only helping to ensure regulatory compliance and boosting operational efficiency but also driving customer-centric innovation.

Steven Seah, VP for Informatica ASEAN, India and Korea, said that Krungsri’s transformation journey demonstrates how strategic data governance can help large financial institutions to navigate complex data landscapes, accelerate innovation and realize meaningful operational value.
