JW Marriott Maldives Resort & Spa has deployed Zyxel Networks’ Nebula cloud networking solution. The cloud-managed network of more than 100 access points (APs) provides seamless, high-density connectivity across the resort’s staff accommodation, supporting the workforce behind one of the Maldives’ premier luxury island resorts.
Providing consistent connectivity across staff accommodation spread over five residential blocks presented both a structural and operational challenge. At JW Marriott Maldives Resort & Spa, success depended not on adding more APs alone, but on designing a network that could overcome signal interference while remaining easy to manage at scale.
Together with partners Plexus Distribution and Focus Computers, Zyxel Networks addressed these challenges through a combination of intelligent network design, robust infrastructure and cloud-based management that deliver a location-centric wireless design, robust network backbone, and centralized cloud operations.
The platform provides a single-pane-of-glass view of the entire network, enabling centralized monitoring and remote management. Nebula’s AI-powered Wireless Health helps IT teams automatically detect and diagnose WiFi issues while optimizing performance before they impact the daily operations of resort associates.
“To ensure a strong and stable internet experience for our associates, we decided to install individual APs inside each room. For this, we needed a high-quality solution at an affordable price,” said Dilanka Adikari, senior IT specialist at JW Marriott Maldives Resort & Spa.
“The Zyxel Nebula cloud networking solution has made managing all APs, switches, and their configurations extremely easy. It has simplified our operations and improved the overall network reliability,” Adikari added.
Gary Chen, emerging markets head at Zyxel Networks, said the project’s result is reliable connectivity that keeps operations running smoothly.
