Infineon teams up with Singapore partners to push innovation

Infineon Technologies has signed three separate memorandums of understanding with ST Enginering, Xynergy, Avnet Asia, and Singapore Polytechnic, to boost innovation in Singapore.

First, ST Engineering’s Land Systems arm will collaborate with Xynergy, a wireless charging partner, to incorporate wireless charging to the next generation of Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR), allowing it to operate within a clean room environment at Infineon’s Smart Factory.

The first trial will take place in early 2020, allowing ST Engineering to apply its robotics system expertise in an advanced manufacturing setting.

Second, Avnet Asia and Infineon joined forces to offer startups and incubators from technology-related sectors in Southeast Asia the opportunity to accelerate development and growth.

And third, Singapore Polytechnic and Infineon have set up the Singapore PolytechnicInfineon Innovation Centre to accelerate ideas to prototype solutions focusing on IoT and robotics applications.

The Innovation Centre will enable students to conceptualise microelectronics solutions for their problem statements within a short time.
