Income Insurance strengthens data governance with Informatica

Income Insurance Limited (Income Insurance), a leading composite insurer in Singapore, is working with Informatica to continue strengthening data governance in the organization.

As Income Insurance continues to scale its use of financial data across diverse teams and systems, the organization is evolving its data governance framework to further strengthen integration, thus enabling clearer and more reliable data oversight to support decision-making.

“Strong data governance lays the foundation of trust, which is essential for connecting technology and business teams to deliver accurate and timely insights,” said David Tan, chief data officer at Income Insurance.

“Informatica has helped us streamline and automate the data governance processes, enabled us to strengthen trusted data, and enhanced our data visibility and ownership across teams.  This approach enhances the robustness of our data foundation,” said Tan.

By incorporating Informatica’s Cloud Data Governance and Catolog, Income Insurance has reduced data investigation time and increased productivity with automation.

Processes that previously took hours — such as impact analysis and data tracing—can now be completed within minutes, significantly reducing manual effort, improving turnaround time and data accuracy for business and reporting teams.

“In today’s data-driven and highly regulated environment, knowing where your data comes from and how it’s being used is essential,” said Steven Seah, VP for Informatica in ASEAN, Korea and India.”
