Workday, the AI platform for managing people, money and agents, is working with regional healthcare services provider Health Management International (HMI Medical), to accelerate their digital transformation initiatives across key corporate functions.
This collaboration marks a significant expansion of Workday’s presence in the healthcare sector, with HMI Medical as its first customer in Singapore’s healthcare industry.
Headquartered in Singapore, HMI Medical manages over 2,800 staff across Southeast Asia. As the group expands its healthcare portfolio through growth and partnerships, it is investing in digitalisation to unify operations, strengthen agility, and support its long-term ambition to deliver trusted, high-quality care to patients across the region.
To support this next phase of growth, HMI Medical has partnered with Workday to unify its systems and enhance operational agility across the organisation.
To strengthen the foundation for growth, HMI Medical will deploy Workday’s AI-enabled enterprise cloud suite, covering human capital, finance, planning and contract intelligence through Workday Illuminate, Workday’s next-generation AI.
Workday Illuminate will support HMI Medical in automating repetitive tasks and free up employees’ time for more strategic initiatives. Leveraging AI-driven insights for better decision-making and more personalised support, HMI Medical will be better positioned to attract, grow, and retain top talent.
Other solutions that will be implemented are Workday Human Capital Management (HCM), Workday Financial Management, Workday Adaptive Planning and Workday Contract Intelligence, powered by Evisort AI.
With these solutions, HMI Medical will enhance productivity levels and streamline workflows across the organization, leveraging real-time data and analytics to support talent management and financial management.
Beyond HR and finance, teams across the organisation, including executive leadership, legal, planning and analytics teams, will benefit from a unified, integrated system that drives efficiency and informed decision-making. By streamlining operational workflows and automating repetitive tasks, HMI Medical’s teams can channel more time towards meaningful outcomes by supporting clinicians and enhancing patient care.
Chin Wei Jia, Group CEO of HMI Medical, said adopting Workday’s AI-powered tools is a key step in building a future-ready workforce at HMI Medical.
“With AI, we can use data more intelligently, make faster and better decisions, and respond more effectively to the needs of our people,” said Chin. “This agility drives our digital transformation and enables us to keep improving care for our patients and communities.”
Jess O’Reilly, Workday general manager in ASEAN, said that in an industry where agility, accuracy, and compliance are critical, healthcare providers need systems that can keep pace with the fast-evolving landscape.
With Workday’s unified cloud management suite, HMI Medical will gain a comprehensive view of its workforce, financial data, and operations, enabling smarter decision-making and more agile responses to changing patient and staffing needs.
