Heineken opens global contest for hiring solutions

Heineken has opened for participation of HR Tech players from around the globe the 2019 HR Brewhouse, organised in collaboration with Accenture and TheNextWeb.

The contest will take place on October 4 and will be hosted in Singapore. Submissions open on September 11.

Emerging innovators, disruptors, start-ups and HR Tech players will have the opportunity to share and pitch their tailor-made solutions to solve real-life HR challenges in a corporate environment. Participants will work with senior Heineken HR leaders from the Asia-Pacific region, global HR and global IT during dedicated coaching sessions.

Finalists will pitch their solutions and present to a panel of judges comprised of senior HR and IT executives from Heineken, and have the opportunity to network with HR experts as well as ecosystem partners such as venture capitalists and corporate partners.

The winners will have the opportunity to pilot their offering with selected Heineken subsidiaries in the Asia Pacific region, such as in Singapore, Indonesia and Vietnam. After the pilot phase, Heineken us looking to potentially scale the pilots into a regional rollout and push it further to a global scale.

There are four competition categories, which cover the following.

  • Solutions to improve the recruitment process for both candidates and HR, from making employee referrals easier to sourcing candidates using AI,
  • Making the onboarding process seamless to alleviate typical points of stress in welcoming new employees.
  • Solutions to help us draw actionable insights from employee feedback, understand employee sentiment and promote company-wide recognition of employee success, and
  • An open category for any solution that resonates with Heineken HR Brewhouse competition.
