Garuda Indonesia partners with Indosat Ooredoo for digital transformation

Indonesia’s national airline Garuda Indonesia has signed an agreement with Indosat Ooredoo for digital transformation of its service lines and operations divisions.

The scope of the collaboration includes providing a “Hajj Tracker” for delegations undergoing the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages to Mecca, and will take the form of a Smart Wristband equipped with GPS, an SOS button, and a health monitor. 

Other deliverables include an Inventory on Board application for tablets, a smart warehouse for cargo services, as well as Cloud PABX, SD-WAN, and Managed Cloud Security services.

According to Garuda Indonesia’s CEO Ari Askhara, this agreement reaffirms the company’s commitment to digital transformation. With this, Garuda Indonesia hopes to raise its level of efficiency, productivity, and customer service, as part of an enterprise-wide transformation process.

He said, “We are optimistic that Indosat Ooredoo’s technological offerings will be an innovative step for Garuda Indonesia, and that they will address the current market trends of prioritizing speed and personalization, as well as enhance passenger experience from pre-journey to post-journey.”
