ECU Worldwide boosts global logistics by modernising infra on AWS

Allcargo Group’s ECU Worldwide worked with Rackspace Technology to modernise its global operations by migrating workloads to Amazon Web Services (AWS). 

This strategic transformation enhances ECU Worldwide’s integrated service network and enables real-time shipment visibility across 180 countries, accelerating its innovation in the global supply chain industry in the global supply chain industry.

As part of digital transformation, ECU Worldwide standardises its operations across 180 countries to meet its growing global supply chain demands. 

Through global strategic acquisitions, technological advancements, and a comprehensive suite of services, ECU Worldwide has solidified its position as digital leaders in global LCL consolidation. 

By migrating operations to AWS, the company has significantly improved scalability, enhanced disaster recovery capabilities, and streamlined its online booking platform. This is ECU360, which facilitates real-time shipment tracking, instant booking, seamless cargo movement and enhancing customer experience.

The cloud migration initiative was built on four strategic pillars. The first was focused on elevating customer experience through modernised digital interfaces and intuitive touchpoints, streamlining processes from shipment tracking to documentation management. 

The second, infrastructure modernisation, marked a strategic shift from global data centers to AWS infrastructure, delivering the scalability needed for peak operational demands with a robust security and recovery system. 

The third emphasised workforce development by implementing extensive training programs and change management initiatives emphasising technology adoption. 

The fourth leveraged the strategic relationship with AWS and Rackspace Technology, bringing crucial expertise to guide the implementation and ensure best practices.
