Deliveroo sets up Asia Pacific regional hub in Singapore

Food delivery service Deliveroo has established a new Asia Pacific Performance Hub in Singapore, and which is focused on driving growth in the region.

Deliveroo currently operates in four markets in Asia Pacific — Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan — as well as the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait, and plans to grow further across the region and in more towns and cities in each market.

The APAC Performance Hub is designed to support all of the firm’s offices in the region by monitoring and optimising all aspects of Deliveroo’s business performance, and also maximising insights from Deliveroo’s global headquarters in London.

The facility currently comprises close to 20 employees, who work across performance marketing, recruitment, partnerships and business intelligence.

This also sees Deliveroo moving its Business Intelligence Unit set up last year to a new home under the Hub, to scale and apply key insights across markets and achieve greater synergies as the region’s appetite for online food delivery increases.

“Asia Pacific is critical to Deliveroo’s continued growth and the launch of the APAC Performance Hub will further bolster our ambitions to become the definitive food company in the region and beyond,” said Siddharth Shanker, General Manager of Deliveroo Singapore.

“For Singapore to be selected as the home base for this new unit underlines the attractiveness of the city as a business hub for the region, and we are excited at the prospect of incubating and innovating new products and services that will change the way consumers eat and enjoy their favourite food,” Shanker said.

The new Hub will create innovative solutions using big data and technologies to support Deliveroo’s local activities and growth in the region. By tracking and analysing trends, data and performance metrics, Deliveroo will be able to deepen its understanding of consumer and stakeholder behaviour in the region.

These insights in turn enable Deliveroo to enhance performance for riders, restaurants and customers, as well as identify expansion opportunities.
