CapitaLand leverages cloud, AI for smart operations, better CX

CapitaLand Group, one of Asia’s largest diversified real estate groups, is leveraging Alibaba Cloud’s cloud infrastructure and artificial intelligence (AI) applications to accelerate CapitaLand’s digital transformation in China.

Building upon the existing partnership established in 2019, the enhanced agreement expands beyond cloud-based digitalization to include a variety of AI applications across multiple levels and business domains.

With Alibaba Cloud’s AI-powered technologies, including its large language model Qwen, CapitaLand will enhance its smart operations and elevate customer service experiences across its diverse online and offline businesses.

Additionally, through Alibaba Cloud’s big data platform, CapitaLand will develop an insights-driven system that enables informed business decisions through advanced data analytics, customer profiling, precision marketing, and risk management.

CapitaLand will also integrate Alibaba Cloud’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) solutions to create a green, low-carbon real estate ecosystem.

“As a leading diversified real estate group with a strong focus on innovation, CapitaLand has continuously integrated technologies to drive business growth since 2015,” said Puah Tze Shyang, CEO of CapitaLand Investment (China). “We believe that through deeper cooperation with Alibaba will elevate our collaboration to a new level.”

Alibaba Cloud and CapitaLand began their collaboration in China in 2015. Since formalizing their strategic partnership in 2019, they have achieved significant results by focusing on cloud services and the development of a data platform.

By migrating its enterprise systems to Alibaba Cloud, CapitaLand eliminated the need for local server deployments, substantially reducing its IT infrastructure costs in China.

Launched in 2020, CapitaLand’s data platform provides end-to-end data support for key business areas such as finance, asset management, leasing and membership operations. It serves as a central hub for data sharing and collaboration across departments and systems, offering a strong foundation for CapitaLand’s digital transformation and business innovation.

As one of the major cloud providers for CapitaLand, Alibaba Cloud’s technologies and services power many of CapitaLand’s properties in China and facilities management capabilities. With 89 availability zones in 29 regions globally, Alibaba Cloud established its international headquarters in Singapore in 2015.
