Thailand-based communications and social Platform-as-a-Service provider Amity has chosen Neo4j to deliver engaging social media experiences for its customers.

Neo4j will enable Amity to develop more robust, complex, innovative features in its flagship product, Amity Social Cloud. Amity is also one of the first in APAC to adopt Neo4j’s Aura Enterprise – a fully managed graph database as a service.

Amity caters to over 10 million monthly active users globally. Amity delivers more than 3 billion messages per month for hundreds of large enterprises worldwide. The fast-growing scaleup recorded a 200% year-on-year growth during 2020-21, with its sights set on rapid expansions in the United States and Europe buoyed by marquee client wins.

“We believe that Neo4j’s expertise in graph data platform will be instrumental in delivering new valuable products for our customers,” said Touchapon Kraisingkorn, CTO and head of professional services at Amity.

Kraisingkorn  said that choosing Neo4j as their sole social graph database platform will warrant deeper, actionable insights for Amity clients, enriching social engagement with their audiences.

Neo4j Aura Enterprise has equipped Amity with the ability to create a new custom post ranking system. This alternative approach to rank posts is based on a different set of criteria – including engagement rate, popularity, or other predefined benchmarks tailored on a specific user account – rather than the standard reverse chronological order ranking algorithms. The result is better flexibility and more options for Amity’s customers.

“Custom post ranking is one of the most requested features from both existing and prospective clients. Adding this capability to our portfolio will benefit our business and will provide improved social experiences for our clients and their users,” Kraisingkorn said.

“Furthermore, Neo4j Aura Enterprise enables our clients to cost-effectively deploy scalable solutions in multiple regions in real time,” he added.

Neo4j continues to experience strong uptake of its graph data platform in Asia Pacific across the board — from developers who embrace its free Community Edition to enterprises for full-featured, premium solutions.
