Malaysia-based AmBank Group has successfully transformed its digital presence using Progress Sitefinity Cloud, a move that has resulted in an enhanced user experience, streamlined digital operations, faster time to market and significant cost savings.

As part of its digital transformation, AmBank sought to modernise its website infrastructure and improve digital services, overcoming the limitations of an outdated content management system.

The bank required an intuitive, scalable and flexible solution that would empower its teams to make rapid content management and updates without heavy reliance on IT.

“Our marketing fraternity within the Group now has greater control, is much more efficient and better prepared for future growth and digital innovation,” said Shazman Shahid, Head of Group Corporate Communications & Marketing, AmBank Group.

“In addition, our digital presence didn’t get unnoticed by our customers and partners, and the feedback we’ve received has been nothing less than excellent,” he said.

By consolidating four separate websites—corporate, retail banking, individual and institutional client services, and a specialised business microsite—into a single scalable platform, AmBank centralised its digital services and content management processes.

Marketers can now make real-time changes, edit and publish content swiftly with a high degree of customisation, reducing dependence on IT.

Additionally, AI-powered content personalisation ensures tailored marketing efforts that align with diverse audience needs and touchpoints throughout the customer journey.

The multisite capabilities of Sitefinity Cloud enabled AmBank to maintain a Group unified brand identity across all digital properties.

Following the migration, AmBank saw an 18% increase in traffic to its retail banking website, higher user engagement and an estimated cost savings of over RM500,000 compared to alternative solutions.

“In today’s AI-driven era, digital speed and efficiency are critical for organisations to remain competitive and drive growth,” said John Yang, VP, Progress APJ. “By leveraging our technology, AmBank has modernised its digital experience while investing in a robust, future-proof platform that will continue to drive success.”
